Here's my COVID-19 response,at least for the moment. This is a very dynamic situation, so please check back for updates.
Lexington Public Schools will be in a remote learning phase, at least through May 3. ( Town of Lexington's COVID-19 page) If you are on my calendar I'm still expecting to see you, but we can all be more flexible during this uncertain time. As always, though, please let me know as soon as possible if you want to cancel or reschedule sessions.
During the school closure, let's try to schedule sessions so they end by 5:00 pm. For the time being, for your health, my health, and public health, I will only be doing virtual tutoring sessions. Please read that page and make sure the technology works before our session.
At least for the time being, I will be holding people's pre-COVID-19 time slots for them in case schools are opened before the end of the school year. If you know you will no longer need yours, please let me know.
Finally, some math-related content. Here's a really great video on the math of epidemics, particularly COVID-19, from the always fantastic 3blue1brown. I also wrote a blog post showing the math of how we stop the spread of this disease. It's based on my earlier post about herd immunity using measles as an example.
