Summer loan of mathematics textbooks for LHS students
I quote the following from the LHS PTSA listserv as a service to my students who are interested in doing some math over the summer. Also you might be surprised at how inexpensively you can buy old editions of the textbooks online: often little more than the shipping cost.
If you are interested in borrowing a mathematics textbook [from Lexington High School] over the summer [2010], please make note of the following procedure:
- Textbooks will be available for pickup in the Mathematics Building in the Department Head’s office (Room 711) on Tuesday, June 22nd, 8:00AM – 12:00PM and Wednesday, June 23rd, 12:00PM – 3:00PM.
- Textbooks need to be returned on Monday, August 30th, 12:00PM – 3:00PM or Tuesday August 31st, 8:00AM – 12:00PM. Returns will not be accepted at the Main Office.
- A check in the amount of $60 made payable to the Town of Lexington, dated September 1, 2010 will serve as a deposit and will be returned to you upon return of the textbook during the above times. If the textbook is not returned, the deposit check will be forfeited.
Our primary concern is to have a sufficient number of textbooks for all students at the beginning of the school year. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
